Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi and PWD Minister Jitin Prasad, who went to Sweden for a roadshow, have received investment proposals worth more than 15 thousand crores in Stockholm. Retail stores, luxury malls, and construction company Sarneke have proposed to invest ten thousand crores in UP Film City on behalf of Sweden's leading company INGKA.
INGKA's Jan Christensen and Jan Krelina met the Indian delegation and discussed an investment of Rs 4300 crore to expand the chain of retail stores and luxury malls. Luxembourg-based Boson Energy has talked about an investment of Rs 1,000 crore to set up a waste-to-energy project in Uttar Pradesh at the Stockholm Roadshow.
Various meetings held during the roadshow in Stockholm discussed investment opportunities in sectors including defense, textiles and clothing, food processing, automobiles and electric vehicles, renewable energy, waste and water management, and transportation.
UP is the best place to invest
India's Ambassador to Sweden Tanmay Lal said that UP has emerged as the new investment destination in India with endless investment opportunities. He urged Swedish investors to select UP as their investment destination in India.
Argentine entrepreneurs were invited to invest
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak met the representatives of the Argentine Chamber of Commerce for the Asia Pacific. He has invited entrepreneurs to invest in the food processing and IT sector at UP.
In a meeting with representatives of entrepreneurs and business institutions in Argentina, Pathak said that there are immense possibilities for business in UP. Met the entrepreneurs and invited them to attend the Global Investors Summit and discussed the issues of investment in various sectors. He urged the representatives of leading Latin American company Arcor, which is operating a business in 100 countries and manufacturing units of food products in 45 countries, to invest in UP. Saab to set up an arms factory in UP
Saab, the world's leading aircraft and arms manufacturer, will also set up an arms manufacturing unit in UP. A delegation led by Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi and PWD Minister Jitin Prasad met Saab's key executives at its headquarters in Sweden on Wednesday. The government has proposed to provide them with land for the plant at the Aligarh node of the Defense Corridor.
Ashish Patel made an investment proposal to EZO Corporation
Technical Education Minister Ashish Patel on Wednesday proposed to Japan's leading company Ijo Corporation to set up units for health services and air traffic management in UP. Patel met key officials of EZO. GN Singh, Advisor to the Chief Minister was also present with him.
