According to Ukrainian diplomat Oleksandr Sherba, the pilot belongs to Pobeda, a subsidiary of Russian airline Aeroflot. The pilot gave this message to the passengers after reaching Antalya, Turkey.

All of them gathered near the Brandenburg Gate, a symbol of divided Germany during the Cold War. One protester said that we will not forget the people of Ukraine. Even two weeks ago, more than one lakh people had taken to the road at this place.
