On the occasion of the completion of 75 years of making the Constitution, a two-day discussion will begin in the Lok Sabha on Friday (13 December 2024). The government has agreed to discuss the Constitution on 13-14 December in the Lok Sabha and 16-17 December in the Rajya Sabha. Congress MP KC Venugopal said that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will start the debate in Rajya Sabha and Priyanka Gandhi will start the debate on behalf of the opposition in Lok Sabha.
Special discussion on the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution
According to the listed agenda of the Lok Sabha, there will be a special discussion on the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India. The discussion will begin after the Question Hour. Before the two-day discussion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a strategy meeting, which was attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh as well as BJP President JP Nadda. Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with senior BJP ministers including JP Nadda, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju in his office at Parliament House.
