Punjab Corona: Corona explosion in Air India flight from Italy to Amritsar, 125 out of 179 passengers infected

In Punjab, the pace of Corona has taken an alarming pace. On Thursday, 125 passengers of an Air India flight that reached Amritsar from Italy were found to be corona infected. Airport Director VK Seth gave this information.

 

The infection rate increased in Punjab

 

The corona infection rate in Punjab has increased to 7.95 percent. Active cases have also been registered 4434. The situation has worsened in Patiala, Mohali, and Pathankot districts. So far, samples of 16905814 people have been taken, out of which the infection has been confirmed in the report of 608723 people. So far 16657 infected people have died in the state. The Health Department has increased the number of samples taken daily to more than 23 thousand. Earlier, on average, only 15 to 17 thousand samples were being taken by the department.

 

On Wednesday, 1-1 infected have died in Barnala, Faridkot, Jalandhar, and Muktsar. The situation has become worse in Patiala, Mohali, and Pathankot, which are among the major cities of Punjab. A maximum number of 598 new cases have been found in Patiala within 24 hours. After this, 300 cases have been reported in Mohali and 163 in Pathankot. Mansa is the only district in the state in which no infected have been found so far.

 

Preparation for booster dose will have to start from January 10

 

Amidst the increasing corona infection in Punjab, the government has taken a big decision regarding the booster dose. The government will start applying booster doses from January 10. In the first phase, only health care, frontline workers, and senior citizens will be included in this. It has been said by the government that the booster dose will be given only after nine months of the second dose.
