Srinagar, Jan 20 (IANS) Rain and snowfall is expected across Jammu and Kashmir over the next two days, the weather office said Tuesday.
"Light to moderate rain and snowfall is expected across the state beginning tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon," an official of the weather office here told IANS.
Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of minus 2.4 degrees Celsius Tuesday.
"Pahalgam and Gulmarg recorded minimum temperatures of minus 3.8 degree Celsius and minus 5.4 degree Celsius respectively," the official said.
The minimum temperature in Kargil town was minus 14.6 degrees, while it was minus 15.5 degrees in neighbouring Leh town.
In the Jammu region, Banihal town shivered in 4 degrees Celsius while Batote recorded 4.7 degrees, and Bhaderwah 0.6 degree Celsius.
"Jammu city recorded 6.7 as the minimum temperature," the weather official said.
