Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the three-day 'Raisina Dialogue' on Monday. It is India's flagship conference on geopolitics and geo-economics which will be attended by representatives from 125 countries. New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, US National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard and Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiha are among the participants in the 10th edition of the conference.
According to sources, for the first time, a delegation including a senior security official from Taiwan is expected to attend the conference. This reflects the growing cooperation between the two sides in the last few years. The conference is being organized by the think tank 'Observer Research Foundation' in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs.
Earlier, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Sunday that representatives from about 125 countries will participate in this conference, including ministers, former heads of state, military commanders, leading personalities from the industry, technology giants, academics, journalists, strategic affairs scholars and experts from leading think tanks. Officials said that foreign ministers from 20 countries will participate in this discussion.
Ukraine Foreign Minister Sibiha's visit to India comes at a time when the US is trying to broker a temporary ceasefire to end the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. New Zealand Prime Minister Luxon will deliver the keynote address at the opening session on Monday.
Foreign ministers of Slovenia, Luxembourg, Latvia, Moldova, Georgia, Sweden, Slovak Republic, Bhutan, Maldives, Norway, Thailand, Antigua and Barbuda, Peru, Ghana, Hungary and Mauritius will also attend the conference. Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Martinez Diaz and Philippine Foreign Minister Enrique A. Manalo will also participate in it.
