Raja Raghuvanshi: Who attacked Raja first as soon as Sonam signaled? Many revelations were made in the crime scene recreation.

Meghalaya Police recreated the crime scene of Raja Raghuvanshi's murder in Sohra. Police took Vishal, Anand, and Akash to that place along with Sonam and Raj who played an important role in murdering Raja.

 

The incident of murdering Raja Raghuvanshi was repeated by reaching from the parking lot of Maulkhiya to the parking lot of Wei Sau Dang Fall. During this, the police got the incident videographed and the forensic team was also present on the spot.

 

All the attackers were behind Sonam.

 

During interrogation at the crime scene, the accused said that Sonam was ahead and Raja was behind her. As soon as Sonam gestured, Vishal attacked Raja's head with a daw (weapon) from behind. During interrogation, the accused admitted to attacking Raja with another daw.

 

The police have so far found only the weapon with an orange handle. In such a situation, Meghalaya Police along with the SDERF team is searching for the other weapon with a steel handle thrown in the ditch with the help of a metal detector.

 

Raja died due to a blow on the head with a weapon.

 

SP Vivek Syam of East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya said that the postmortem report has revealed that there are two marks of a blow on Raja Raghuvanshi's head. This is the reason for his death. After Vishal and Anand, Akash attacked Raja due to nervousness, but the marks were not found due to Raja's body decomposing for many days.

 

The three accused met Raja and Sonam in Nongriat.

 

Vishal, Akash, and Anand, who had come to Shillong before Sonam and Raj's arrival, met Raja and Sonam in Nongriat. They said that they were from MP and that they were going to the Dawki tourist spot in Meghalaya on the border of Bangladesh. In this way, they befriended Raja and made a plan to travel together.

 

Scene recreation was done at a fixed time on the day of the murder

The way Sonam and the three accused carried out the incident on the day of Raja Raghuvanshi's murder on May 23. On Tuesday, from 12 am to 2.30 pm, the murder sequence was repeated in the same order.

 

Scene 1: Vishal, Anand, and Akash meet Raj-Sonam. All five met each other at 12 noon in the parking lot of Maulkhiya. After this, they proceeded towards Sau Dang Falls. They took each other's photographs on their mobiles. They parked the scooter in a deserted parking space in front of the falls and reached the viewpoint there.

 

Scene 2: Vishal made the first attack. Sonam was in front at the viewpoint and Raja Raghuvanshi was behind her. Vishal was on the right side of Raja and Akash was behind him on the left. Anand was also on the left side of Raja. Sonam signaled. After this, Vishal held the weapon with both hands and made the first attack on Raja's head with full force. After this, Akash attacked Raja's head with the second weapon. Anand was nervous. Because of this, he could not attack with much force.

 

Scene 3: Sonam reached the parking in a panic. As soon as Vishal attacked Raja, blood started oozing out of his head. Sonam got scared and moved away from there and reached the parking.

 

Scene 4: The three threw the body into the ditch. After ensuring Raja's death, Vishal, Akash, and Anand kept the body on the platform of the viewpoint. After this, they threw the body into the ditch from above the railing. Akash's shirt had blood on it. Because of this, he took off his shirt and threw it.

 

Scene 5: Mobile and weapon thrown. After killing Raja, both the weapons were thrown in the ditch. Sonam broke Raj's mobile. After that Vishal completely broke the mobile and the SIM and threw it in the ditch.

 

Police are also trying to find the other motive.

Meghalaya Police is currently investigating the entire murder case from the angle of a love triangle. Financial transactions or the aspect of murder due to money can also be the motive. Investigation is going on on this.

 

Raj had booked a ticket to go to Shillong but did not come

Raj had also booked a ticket to come to Shillong but did not come to Shillong as Sonam is an employee in the family business. He was afraid that if he came, the family would get suspicious. Sonam and the other four accused will appear in court on 19th June in Shillong. Meghalaya police will ask for additional days for remand for interrogation.
