In the US Parliament, a $ 1.7 trillion package has been agreed upon between President Joe Biden's Democrat Party and the opposition Republican Party. This fund can be used till September 2023. This relief package is very important for the Biden Administration. If there was no consensus on this, there was a danger of economic shutdown in America. The bill is expected to be passed on Friday. In this package, Biden has arranged funds to help Ukraine and NATO as well as deal with natural disasters. Apart from this, funds have also been allocated for industry, people welfare, defense, and climate change.

This is not the original proposal. This is an extension of the Corona Relief Fund. The proposal for this package is 4155 pages. Even now the Senate and the House of Representatives can change it.

 

$44.9 billion has been shown in the bill as emergency help to Ukraine. NATO's help is also included in this category. Apart from this, 40.6 billion dollars are for different states of America. With this fund, these states will be able to deal with drought, storm, flood, forest fire, and other natural disasters.

 

Now the Biden administration will be able to spend freely to deal with the military challenge being faced by China and Russia. $858 billion has been allocated to the defense budget.

 

Giving another blow to China, the Biden administration has taken a big decision. The Tiktok app will now be removed from all the electronic devices given to the employees by the government. For this also expenditure will be made from the defense budget. This step is important because many security forces of America were constantly telling the government that China is engaged in a conspiracy of espionage under the guise of Tiktok.

 

Richard Shelby, the Republican leader in the Senate, said – The consensus has not been very precise, but my party does not want to try to make any hasty changes.

 

Biden's economic agenda

 

According to 'Washington Post', Biden's difficulty in Congress could increase in the coming days. For the time being, his economic agenda seems to be gaining ground. However, Biden's Democratic Party could not get the budget it wanted for domestic spending. For this, he will have to hold further talks with the Republican Party.

 

It is believed that Donald Trump's Republican Party may get a majority in the House of Representatives, the lower house of Parliament in January. Then the matter may get stuck on some issues. However, most things have now been agreed upon.

Both parties agreed on the issues of preparedness to deal with the epidemic, medical benefits, and benefits of retirement schemes. However, differences continue on the issue of tax relief and relief to low-income families.

 

Democrat leader in the Senate, Charles Schumer said – Indeed, there is still some work to be done on this package, but it is a good thing that both parties are on the right track.
