Corona Situation in India: Due to the decrease in the cases of corona across the country, once again life is back on track in the states. Issuing a statement, the Ministry of Education said that schools are fully open in 11 states and closed in 9 states. Meanwhile, the Center has not issued new and revised guidelines and COVID protocols regarding this. These are to be followed during the reopening of schools, colleges.
After a detailed discussion, the Center has given these guidelines for the schools. Emphasis has been laid on reopening schools and developing learning systems with social distancing in the guidelines. The Center advised the states and union territories to follow these COVID SOPs and guidelines as well as prepare their guidelines, which are compatible with these rules.

Ensuring and monitoring proper sanitation and hygiene facilities in the school.
Maintaining a distance of at least 6 feet between students.
Follow social distancing at all times in staff rooms, office areas, assembly halls, and other common areas.
Schools are advised not to conduct any school program where social distancing is not possible.
All students and staff must come to school wearing a face cover/mask and wear it throughout the day.
Social distancing must be maintained during the distribution of mid-day meals, as students will have to take off their masks
On the other hand, Secretary of Health and Family Welfare, Luv Aggarwal said that there has been a decrease in the cases of corona in the country and active cases have also decreased. Along with this, the positivity rate has also decreased. There has been a steady decrease in the cases in the last 14 days. Due to this the active cases have come down. The daily positivity rate which was recorded on January 21 at 17.94% has come down to 10.99%.
