If the film 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' manages to collect half of its Sunday collection on Monday, then the film's hopes of doing respectable business at the domestic box office could be tied.

 

Karan's film missed from top 5

The film 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' collected Rs 11.10 crore on Friday, Day 2 i.e. Saturday, and Rs 19.05 crore on Day 3 i.e. Sunday, according to initial reports. After the weekend fair of cinema-goers to watch new movies is over, now the real test of the film will be on Monday. The film earned around Rs 46 crore in the first weekend as per the figures so far. This collection is not very good for the film 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' with a production and promotion cost of around Rs 180 crore. And, according to the weekend figures of Ranveer Singh's released films so far, its number could not even come in his top 5 films.

 

'Padmavat' earned 114 crores on the first weekend

The most successful film of actor Ranveer Singh's career is considered to be 'Padmavat' in which he became the villain. The film did a stupendous business of Rs 114 crore in the first weekend. Ranveer's film 'Simmba' is at number two in terms of first weekend earnings, which collected Rs 75.11 crore at the domestic box office till the first Sunday of its release. The film 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ramleela' is at number three in this list with an earning of Rs 52.75 crore.

 

The earning of '83 was also more

The film '83, based on the first World Cup victory of the Indian cricket team, is at number four in this list of first weekend earnings, which earned Rs 47 crore in the first weekend and was a flop. The budget for the film 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' and the film '83' is said to be almost the same. Last in the list of top 5 first weekend grossers of Ranveer Singh is Bajirao Mastani which collected Rs 46.77 crores till the first Sunday of its release.
