In fact, 118 MPs have signed the no-confidence motion. Meanwhile, according to Lok Sabha sources, Speaker Om Birla has directed the Secretariat to amend the flawed notice submitted by the opposition to prevent it from being rejected and has ordered immediate action.

Flaws Found in the No-Confidence Motion Notice

According to Lok Sabha Secretariat sources, deficiencies have been found in the notice submitted by opposition MPs seeking the removal of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. The notice mentions events of February 2025 four times, which, according to the rules, could have led to its rejection.

The notice will be listed after the second phase of the Budget Session begins. Upon receiving the amended notice, it will be immediately examined according to established rules.
