The engines of these drones make a humming sound. Ukrainians call them mopeds. Ukraine's army combats these drones through anti-aircraft missiles and fighter jets.
Central and eastern parts were most affected
A power grid operator described the situation as difficult and said the central and eastern parts of the country were worst affected. Emergency power cuts have been imposed in many areas, including Kyiv city, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, and Zaporizhzhya.
A man who witnessed the attack told the media outlet Reuters that he saw a fire burning at an energy center. A hospital guard told me that first I heard a bang. In the next 3 to 4 minutes, I heard another bang.
More than 70 missiles were fired on Friday
