SA vs IND: 13 Indian batsmen could not score double figures in both innings, Rohit Brigade lost due to these 3 reasons

The Boxing Day Test match played between India and South Africa (IND vs SA 1st Test) ended on the third day itself. South Africa handed India a crushing defeat by an innings and 32 runs. India's dream of winning the series in South Africa has now increased further. Rohit Brigade will also fail to win the series even after 31 years.

 

Talking about the first test match, India scored 245 runs in the first innings. KL Rahul played a century innings. In response, South Africa scored 408 runs in the first innings. Dean Elgar played an inning of 185 runs. Marco Jansen scored 84 not out. India was limited to 131 runs in the second innings. Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill were the players to reach double digits. Poor batting of Indian players

The biggest reason for India's defeat was the lack of performance of the batsmen. If we look at the first and second innings together, 13 batsmen could not score even double digits. Rohit's name was also included in this. Rohit scored 5 runs in the first innings and could not even open his account in the second innings. Only two batsmen could reach double figures in the second innings.

 

Shardul and Krishna wasted runs

There was a lack of line length in the bowling of Shardul Thakur and Prasidh Krishna. Prasidh Krishna's Test debut was made unforgettable by the opposition players. South African batsmen scored a lot of runs against Krishna. Krishna spent 93 runs in 20 overs. Whereas, Shardul Thakur spent 191 runs in 19 overs. However, both got one wicket each.

 

Dean Elgar's unmatched innings

Dean Elgar of South Africa took full advantage of his experience. Holding one end, Elgar played an innings of 185 runs. Indian bowlers looked worried about getting him out. It was due to Elgar's innings that South Africa got a lead of 163 in the first innings. Later the bowlers reduced the Indian innings to 131 runs.
