Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is constantly in the headlines these days. The police are continuously investigating the firing case that took place on April 14 outside the actor's Mumbai home Galaxy Apartment. Recently, Anuj Thapan, an accused related to the case, has committed suicide in police custody. His postmortem was conducted on May 2 at JJ Hospital in South Mumbai. According to media reports, an official has given information related to the postmortem, in which it has been told that it has been videographed in the presence of forensic doctors and for documentation purposes.
The official said that after the process which lasted from 4.15 pm to 5.15 pm, the body was kept in the mortuary. However, details regarding the autopsy have not been revealed yet. At the same time, legal and police protocol issues have been held responsible for the delay in post-mortem. Earlier it was scheduled for 1.30 pm. However, the process was postponed due to the non-completion of paperwork. After this, the body was taken for postmortem.
Doctors required a letter from senior police officers before they could begin examining the body. Due to this, there was a lot of delay in the postmortem and then the postmortem started at 4.15. Apart from this, relatives of accused Anuj Thapan were also expected to reach Mumbai in the evening by train.
