On Tuesday, during the investigation, the police teams found a 9 mm shell, a cartridge, and two shells of cartridges made in the US, made in the Pakistan Ordnance Factory, on Tanki Road behind the Jama Masjid. Apart from this, two other shells of .32 bore were also found. After finding foreign cartridges and shells, the police have also started investigating from the angle of foreign funding.

After getting the mud removed from the drains the municipal sanitation workers searched for more foreign cartridges and shells with a metal detector. However, no evidence could be found on the second day. After conducting a search operation throughout the day, the team returned empty-handed in the evening.
