Sandeshkhali Row: Shock to Mamata government from Supreme Court, refusal of immediate hearing in Sandeshkhali case

SC on Sandeshkhali Violence. Mamta government got a big blow from the Supreme Court today. Mamata government had approached the Supreme Court against the CBI investigation in the Sandeshkhali and Sheikh Shahjahan cases, but the court refused to hear the matter immediately.

 

On the petition of the Mamta government, the Supreme Court has said that the CJI will decide when the hearing should be held. The West Bengal government had demanded an early hearing in the Supreme Court against the High Court for handing over Shahjahan Sheikh to the CBI.
