IPL 2024: 'Such a distance?' Rohit and Hardik were seen far away in the Mumbai video, fans reacted on social media

A video posted on social media by Mumbai Indians has sparked debate on social media even before the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. In this video, team owner Nita Ambani and mentor Sachin Tendulkar are shown along with all the cricketers of Mumbai Indians. In the last few seconds of the video, the team posed for a picture with Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya sitting on a sofa in the middle. After the controversy over making Hardik the captain in place of Rohit, social media users are very angry about it. Now in this photo session, the fans saw something that has given them a topic to discuss. There are a lot of reactions regarding this on social media.

 

Hardik said this about Rohit

Hardik Pandya had said in one of his statements that nothing strange will be seen between him and Rohit during IPL 2024. Hardik had said that there is no rift in the relationship between him and the Hitman and he is confident that the Indian captain will use his experience and support him throughout the season. The new captain of Mumbai said- First of all, nothing will be different. If I need his help, he will help me. Besides, he is also the captain of the Indian team, so I will benefit a lot from this. He has achieved a lot with this Mumbai team and I am just here to carry forward that success. So I don't think it will be weird or anything different. It will be a good feeling because we have been playing for 10 years. I have played my entire career under his captaincy and yes I know he will always be on my shoulder throughout the season.

 

Hardik said this about fans

Hardik also stated the fans were angry after the change in captaincy and said that support would be needed from them too. He appealed to the fans to focus on the things which are under their control. Hardik said, 'Yes, I will bowl. To be honest, we respect the fans a lot, but at the same time, we need to focus on our game. I focus on what is needed. I control the things that remain under control. I don't focus on what I can't control and at the same time, we are grateful to the fans. It is because of him that we have our name. I respect his opinion.
