New Delhi, Jan 15 (IANS) The Supreme Court Thursday said it would hear Feb 26 a plea by DMK leader Kanimozhi and others seeking the quashing of the charges framed against them by the 2G court.
An apex court bench headed by Chief Justice H.L. Dattu said the matter would be taken up for hearing after senior counsel Harish Salve mentioned that it was pending for quite some time.
The apex court has divided into seven categories the hearing of the pleas against the various orders of the 2G special court.
The apex court Jan 9, 2015 decided one category of cases when it quashed the order by the special court summoning Sunil Bharti Mittal of Airtel and Ravikant Ruia of Essar Group to appear before it to face trial in alleged irregularities in the allocation of excess spectrum in 2002.
The court is likely to hear Feb 26 the plea by Kanimozhi, Shahid Balwa, Reliance Telecom Ltd and its senior executives Surendra Pipara, Gautam Dosi and Hari Nair seeking quashing of the charges against them.
