According to an official release issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 18,833 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the last 24 hours.
A total of 3,31,75,656 people have been cured of corona so far with 24,770 new recoveries. At present, the recovery rate in the country is 97.94 percent, which is the highest since March 2020. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 57,68,03,867 samples were tested till October 5, including 14,09,825 samples tested yesterday.

India started vaccination for all people above 45 years of age from April 1, while vaccination for people in the age group of 18-44 started from May 1.
