4 teams have to play matches in Wankhede. These teams are Delhi Capitals (DC), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Punjab Kings (PK), and Rajasthan Royals (RR). At the moment, all four teams are practicing in Mumbai itself.
Rana and Padikkal report negative
So far, 23 people, including 3 players, have become positive in the IPL. This is Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Nitish Rana in 3 players, Delhi Capitals all-rounder Akshar Patel and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) opener Devdutt Padikkal. There will be 10 matches between 10 and 25 April in Mumbai
Out of 56 of the league stage, 10–10 matches will be played in Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore. Delhi and Ahmedabad will have 8-8 matches. All matches will be held between April 10 to 25 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The first match will be played between Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings on 10 April. Lockdown on every weekend in Maharashtra, but IPL will be
Because of the increasing cases of corona, Maharashtra will have a lockdown on every weekend from 8 pm to 9 am on April 9. However, the team will not have any problem even if there is a match in Mumbai during the IPL, because the state government has approved the IPL. There will be no spectators in the stadium during the match. The team has been allowed to travel to practice and hotel even after 8 pm.
Matches can be shifted from Mumbai, Indore-Hyderabad standby
According to sources, if the Corona cases in Mumbai increase, then all the matches can be shifted. For this, Indore and Hyderabad have been kept as standby. At the same time, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla said that because of the increasing cases of Corona, the BCCI has already made all security arrangements. This is the reason that only 6 Venues were selected, where Bio-Bubble was created. Rajiv has expected the tournament to be a success without any trouble.
Players need to get vaccinated: Rajiv
Rajiv said that there is only one way to deal with the ever-increasing corona cases. This is a vaccine. The BCCI also believes that players should be vaccinated. No one knows when the coronavirus will end, nor can anyone tell the date of the end of the virus.
