Western Railway (Vadodara Division) said that some unknown people opened the fish plate and some keys from the upline track and placed them on the same track near Kim railway station. After this, the movement of trains had to be stopped. After necessary arrangements and investigation, services on the line were resumed soon.
Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had said on Tuesday that no conspiracy to cause rail accidents will last long and the government will soon bring a plan for the safety of the 1.10 lakh kilometer long railway network across the country. His statement came regarding the recent rail accidents in the country. In most of these, the railway tracks were tampered with. Obstructions like gas cylinders were placed on them.
