A big conspiracy to overturn a train in Gujarat was foiled. The up-line railway track under Vadodara division near Surat was tampered with. Some unknown persons opened the fish plate and key of the track. This could have caused a major accident.
Western Railway (Vadodara Division) said that some unknown people opened the fish plate and some keys from the upline track and placed them on the same track near Kim railway station. After this, the movement of trains had to be stopped. After necessary arrangements and investigation, services on the line were resumed soon.
Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had said on Tuesday that no conspiracy to cause rail accidents will last long and the government will soon bring a plan for the safety of the 1.10 lakh kilometer long railway network across the country. His statement came regarding the recent rail accidents in the country. In most of these, the railway tracks were tampered with. Obstructions like gas cylinders were placed on them. Apart from this, a conspiracy to vandalize and cause damage was seen.
Will find out the reason by reaching the root
In a press conference on the occasion of the completion of 100 days of the third term of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, the Home Minister said that he had discussed the issue of railway safety with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav in the last two days. As far as accidents are concerned, we will find out the reason by reaching its root. Whatever the reason, the government is committed to paying attention to this issue. If there is a conspiracy, it will not last long. If there is any deficiency, it will be removed.
Preparing a plan to protect the railway network
Shah said that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), National Investigation Agency (NIA), Railway Police, and Home Ministry are preparing a plan to protect the railway network so that no conspiracy can be hatched. We have taken a tough stand on the recent incidents and will come up with a plan to address them.
Claim of 38 railway accidents in 100 days
The Congress had claimed that 38 railway accidents had taken place in the first 100 days of the Modi government's third term. It accused Vaishnaw of dismissing these accidents as minor incidents.
