Mumbai, Feb 9 (IANS) Engineering company Siemens Ltd Monday said it has bagged orders worth Rs.450 crore from Varanasi-based Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) for supply of propulsion and control equipment.
"The mobility division of Siemens Ltd has won three orders worth approximately Rs.450 crore from ... Diesel Locomotive Works of Indian Railways for locomotive equipment," the company said a statement.
The company will supply and supervise the installation and commissioning of three-phase propulsion systems and traction motors for DLW.
DLW is a production unit of Indian Railways in Varanasi and annually manufactures around 300 diesel electric locomotives.
