The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team, which is investigating the economic aspects in the case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, is questioning Rhea Chakraborty for the second time in four days. Rhea, her brother and father are sitting face to face with questions and answers. Rhea had told in previous inquiries that she has been receiving financial support from her father. According to sources, ED officials asked the father when and how much financial support he had given to Rhea. It also asked what was the source of income if supported.
He was questioned earlier on Friday. ED is interrogating Shovik for the third time, father Indrajit Chakraborty for the first time and Sushant's business manager Shruti Modi for the second time.
Rhea did not support initial inquiry
On July 31, the ED has registered a case against 6 people, including Rhea, in connection with the misappropriation of Rs 15 crore from Sushant Singh Rajput's account. Initially, the actress did not cooperate in the investigation. Sometimes she was making an excuse for illness, sometimes she was saying in response to a question that she did not remember anything. He called the charge of withdrawing money from Sushant's account fabricated and false. According to Rhea, she did 7 films and earned them. Today Sushant's roommate Siddharth Pithani has been summoned for Boho interrogation. Currently, information about his being in Hyderabad is coming out.
Rhea's 3 properties investigated
Of the three properties Rhea is investigating, one is in the Khar area, the other is in Juhu and the third is in Navi Mumbai. The market value of these three properties collectively is around Rs 3 crore. If sources are to be believed, Rhea bought these three properties in 2018 and beyond.
Rhea told the ED about one of these three properties. This is his One BHK flat located in the Khar area. The price of this 322 square feet flat is around one crore rupees. Rhea bought it in 2018 for 76 lakh rupees. He had booked this flat for 51 thousand rupees, while in May 2018 he registered it.
ED questioned Shouvik for 18 hours on Saturday
Shovik Chakraborty was questioned on August 9 for about 18 hours. On August 7, he was questioned for only two hours. After this, he again reached the ED office on Saturday afternoon and left the ED office in the Ballard Estate area around 6.30 am on Sunday.
According to ED sources, Shovik was an active partner with Sushant. Shovik was questioned about Sushant's companies, his business, income, investments, and financial deals with Rhea-Sushant. Her statement has been recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Rhea's chartered accountant Ritesh Shah has also been questioned.
ED seeks 5-year income tax records from Rhea
According to information received from ED sources,Rhea did not cooperate much during the August 7 inquiry. So today he can be questioned for a long time. The ED has also asked everyone (Rhea, Shovik, father Indrajit) to bring their property papers. Today's inquiry will focus on Rhea's income, investment, business, and professional deals. The ED is investigating Rhea's properties in Khar and Navi Mumbai regarding their properties, purchase, and ownership. If sources are to be believed, Rhea has been asked by ED to show the record of 5 years income tax.
Rhea accuses Sushant's family
In an interrogation of the ED on Friday, Rhea made serious allegations against Sushant's family. He claims that Sushant's family members are pressurizing him to acquire his insurance and other properties. The actor's family was pressurizing Sushant to separate from him. Sushant's IPS brother-in-law had been involved in a big conspiracy for several months.
Father lodged an FIR against Rhea
Sushant's father KK Singh lodged an FIR against Rhea in Patna on July 25, which has been transferred to the CBI. Rhea and her family are accused of cheating Sushant and misappropriating 15 crore from his account.
