Shimla, Jan 13 (IANS) The cold wave would again tighten its grip over Himachal Pradesh with the state's higher reaches Tuesday experiencing a fresh snow.
The weather office here has forecast heavy snow and rain in some parts of the state Wednesday.
Shimla, which was partly cloudy throughout the day, recorded a minimum temperature of 4.7 degrees Celsius, whereas the maximum was 15 degrees.
The hills overlooking the picturesque tourist resort Manali got a fresh blanket of snow.
"The high hills in Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Kullu and Chamba districts have been experiencing light to moderate snowfall since Tuesday morning," a weather department official told IANS.
Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest place in the state with a low of minus 3.2 degrees Celsius.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of minus 1 degree Celsius, while it was 3 degree Celsius in Manali, 5.6 degrees Celsius in Dharamsala, 6.2 degrees in Dalhousie and 5.2 degrees in Chamba.
