Mumbai, Jan 30 (IANS) Remember Sulbha Arya, the simple and scandalised Kanta Ben of "Kal Ho Naa Ho"? The veteran actress will now be seen in a new avatar as a grandmother in &TV’s "Begusarai".
Sulbha will be seen essaying the role of the 'Badi Dadi' of the Thakur family and she will be marked by her character of a firebrand who is highly opinionated and gives everyone a run for their money with her cutting remarks, said a source from the channel.
Her character is shown as a late riser even at the age of 70, and she has the final word in all matters of the family.
"The actress will be playing a bold and unconventional old lady and adds to the eccentricities of an already quirky town Begusarai. By playing the bindaas (carefree) and cracker of a 'Dadi', the actress will be shedding her simple and coy image," the source added.
The channel &TV goes on air March 2, and the show will have a rustic feel.
