As soon as the race started at 10 am on the grounds of Bishop Mandal Inter College, the girls running ahead fell due to being pushed.
After this, the crowd coming from behind climbed on them. Several girls were injured in the stampede amid the screaming. The Congress leaders took to the streets to misbehave with the media persons over the coverage of the incident. The former mayor of the city and Congress leader Supriya Aron has crossed the limit. He said that there can be a stampede in Vaishno Devi too, so it is a crowd of girls.
10 thousand girls participated in the marathon
This marathon was organized under Priyanka Gandhi's 'Girl Hoon - Lad Sakti Hoon' campaign. Thousands of girls reached the marathon in the morning. As soon as the marathon started, there was a stampede. Some girls running ahead fell due to the push. After this, the crowd coming behind fell on him. Many girls got buried. Seeing this, the hands and feet of the organizers swelled. Somehow they pulled out the girls amidst the screaming. After this, the families of most of the girls took them home.
