New Delhi, March 12 (IANS) Announcing an achievement in renewable energy, power back-up solutions provider Su-Kam on Thursday said it has bagged order for installing a 50 KW grid-tie system for the Delhi Jal Board's Jhandewalan section in Karol Bagh.

Su-Kam will be installing two grid tie inverters of 25 KW each and 200 solar photovoltaic (PV) modules of 250 watts each.

A grid-tie inverter is a power inverter that converts direct current (DC) sources such as solar panels or small wind turbines into alternating current (AC) for linking with the grid.

"The installation will generate 90,000 units of electricity per year, thereby helping Delhi Jal Board save Rs.720,000 annually," the company said in a release here.

It has won this prestigious project through a tender from the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (DSIIDC), the statement added.
