The Suryanagari Superfast train derailed near Bomadda village of Pali district in Rajasthan at around 3.30 am on Monday. 3 coaches of the train overturned, while 11 coaches were derailed. Suryanagari Express was coming from Bandra (Mumbai) to Jodhpur. It reached Marwar Junction at 2.48 am. From here it left for Pali at 3:09, meanwhile, the accident happened near Bomadra village. After the incident, the Railways immediately started relief and rescue operations. Among the passengers injured in the accident, a woman is said to be serious, she was taken to the hospital. There were a total of 26 coaches on the train.

Harsh Maheshwari of Jasnagar (Merta City) of Nagaur district told- 'We were coming from Surat to Pali by sitting in S-5 in Suryanagari train. The train started shaking near Achakan Bomadda village. Then people took me out of the compartment. Thank God that no one died in the accident.
150 scout guides were also on the train
It is being told that there were more than 150 scout guides on the train. They were coming for the Jamboree to be held in Jodhpur. On the information of the accident, many officers including Scout's Govind Meena, and Jitendra Bhati arrived.
Railways gave compensation to the injured
Following the instructions of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, 26 people injured in the accident were also given immediate compensation. A total of 26 people were injured in the accident. The compensation amount was given on the spot to 17 patients admitted to Pali's Bangar Hospital on Monday morning. Passenger Indu Devi's leg got fractured. Considering they were seriously injured, the Railways gave Rs 1 lakh and the rest of the minor injuries were given Rs 25,000 as compensation. The passengers who have gone home after first aid are also being given compensation from the Railways.
