RSS: Will RSS be able to achieve this impossible goal? Sangh's big plan regarding UP-Bihar

Posted on 12th Jan 2023 05:21 pm by rohit kumar

Keeping in mind the next Lok Sabha elections, the opposition has also started throwing its dice. While Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is trying to increase his acceptability through Bharat Jodo Yatra, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is trying to unite Dalit-OBC castes with him by running the bet of caste census. During this political picture of the country, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is completing 100 years of its establishment in 2025. RSS has also set a goal for this centenary year. In this goal of the Sangh, a big strategy has been chalked out for Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Its officials have gathered to achieve this goal. What is this goal of the Sangh and what kind of India does it want to see in its centenary year?

The RSS is aiming to set up one lakh shakhas across the country by the centenary year. Separate plans have been made for rural and urban areas. The target is to establish one branch in every village in rural India, while in urban areas the target is to operate one branch per ten thousand population. There is also a plan to run special campaigns for this from time to time, through which efforts will be made to achieve this goal.

Big target in UP-Bihar

But the biggest plan of the Sangh is regarding UP and Bihar. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh wants to make the thinking of Hindutva more powerful and effective over caste thinking in the states of UP-Bihar which play the most important role in deciding the political picture of the country. That is, the Sangh wants people to limit caste thinking to their personal lives, but when it comes to wider interests, they should think of themselves as part of Hindu society at the national level. For this, a comprehensive strategy has been prepared and for this efforts are being made to connect people with the Sangh. Union's General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale's one-week stay in Uttar Pradesh is also linked to this thinking of the organization.

Sangh wants to prepare a strong ground

However, critics of the Sangh consider it an attempt to give a strong and permanent form to the politics of Hindutva. According to him, the Sangh has seen that since 2014, politics based on Hindutva issues has been getting success in this Hindi heartland region. The politics of Hindutva can be considered the most important factor behind the record success that BJP has achieved in Uttar Pradesh in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections and the 2017 and 2022 UP assembly elections. The mixed model of Hindutva and development succeeded in giving historical success to BJP by demolishing caste equations. The Sangh wants to give a permanent shape to this thinking.

In Bihar also, the BJP got almost similar success. But it became clear in the last Bihar assembly elections that the caste equation is still very strong here. The election results have made it clear that as soon as it comes to caste social equations in Bihar, the issue of Hindutva may get weakened. The Sangh wants to remove this weakness and prepare a deeper pitch of Hindutva politics. And his efforts are going on in this regard.

Individual-Society Builds Union

RSS functionary Anil Tyagi, who is working for the expansion of the Sangh in Uttar Pradesh, told Amar Ujala that the Sangh never works for political goals, so its works should not be linked to political equations. He said that the Sangh does the work of man-building. He does the work of society building through individual building and nation building through society building and his every work is inspired in this direction.

Anil Tyagi said that even before the completion of 100 years of its establishment, the RSS has geographically reached every corner of the country. The Sangh and its volunteers are doing the work of public service in almost every field. But the Sangh still believes that its reach in some sections of society has not been as expected. The union is striving for this.

He said that India's success as a nation would be proved only when every citizen of the country contributes to taking the nation forward with a sense of unity. Keeping this vision in mind, the Sangh wants to bind all the sections of society in a sense of unity while maintaining their identity and all their efforts are in this direction.
