In a video posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Rohit said that the feeling of winning the tournament is surreal and it still feels like a dream, as the team had worked for it for a long time.

Rohit said- It has been a great moment. From the time the match ended till now, it felt like a dream. We still feel that it has not happened or we do not believe it. This is the feeling inside us right now. We have dreamed about it for so long. We worked hard as a team for so long and now it feels quite relieving to see it with us. You feel relieved only when you work hard for something and finally, you get it. It feels good.
We had a good time.

The captain said that the team celebrated their victory till the next morning, due to which he could not sleep, but this victory was worth celebrating. He said, 'We had a lot of fun with the teammates till morning. I could not sleep properly. However, now it is time to celebrate. I have a lot of time to go back home and sleep. This moment was very special for all of us and I want to live it. I want to live every moment, every second, every minute that is passing by. I want to make the most of it. I don't think I can put it into words because nothing was scripted. Whatever it was you know, whatever is visible is the emotions inside.'

On tasting the Barbados pitch, Rohit said that the pitch helped him get his moment and he wanted to keep a piece of it with him. He also said that he will always remember the Kensington Oval ground in Barbados. Hitman said- You know ... I was feeling that moment when I went to the pitch because that pitch gave us this victory. We played on that special pitch and we won the match, on that special ground too. I will always remember that ground in my life and that pitch too. So I wanted to keep a piece of it with me. So yes, those moments are very, very special. The place where all our dreams came true, I wanted a part of it. This was the feeling behind it.
