The High Court has made a strong comment on the statement of Madhya Pradesh Minister Vijay Shah on female army officer Colonel Sophia Qureshi and has called it cancerous and dangerous. The High Court directed the DGP to register an FIR against Vijay, after which the police registered an FIR against Vijay. The High Court said that the minister used gutter language, which is unacceptable.
The division bench of Justice Atul Shridharan and Justice Anuradha Shukla described the statement of Colonel Qureshi calling the sister of the terrorists of the Pahalgam attack as promoting separatist activities. It also said that it is going to endanger the unity and integrity of India.
The court said that the armed forces are probably the last institution in the country, which reflects honesty, discipline, sacrifice, selflessness, and indomitable courage, with which any citizen of the country can associate himself. Vijay has targeted it. The bench said that Colonel Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh were the faces of the armed forces, who had informed the media about the progress of Operation Sindoor.
Colonel Qureshi is a follower of the Muslim religion. By calling her a traitor to terrorists, a feeling was created that a person can fast only because he is a Muslim.
