The audience is eager to see Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Rama. But do you know that before Ranbir, Salman Khan was going to play Lord Rama.

 

Yes, Salman Khan, who does action and romantic films, was going to play the role of Lord Rama in the mythological film Ramayana. But due to a mistake by brother Sohail Khan, the film slipped out of the actor's hands.

It was in the 90s, when Salman Khan's brother Sohail Khan announced a film which was based on Ramayana. This film of Sohail, who became a director from Aajar, was a big budget film. Salman Khan was in the lead role. He was going to play the role of Lord Rama, while Hum Saath Saath Hain actress Sonali Bendre was playing the role of Mata Sita. All the preparations for the film had also started.

 

Why could the film not be made?

 

Pooja Bhatt had also joined Sohail Khan's film. Salman had completed about 40 percent of the shooting and had also started promoting the film. Then rumors of a relationship between Sohail Khan and Pooja Bhatt started spreading. It is claimed that Pooja had also talked about marrying Sohail.

 

Sohail and Pooja's relationship was not approved by Salim Khan and the relationship between the two came to the verge of ending. According to reports, Pooja backed out from the film after her relationship with Sohail ended, after which it could never be completed.
