A new survey by Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT), one of the industry's largest telematics service providers, finds several interesting trends in electric vehicle drivers. The survey found that Tesla electric cars are 50 percent less likely to cause accidents than other cars. The company released the research findings at a conference organized by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Charging into an Electrified Future.

 

Porsche electric car accident risk is 55 percent higher

The Porsche electric car was also included in the research. But about this came the exact opposite result from Tesla. It was reported that people who drive a Porsche have a 55 percent higher chance of having an accident while driving compared to other vehicles.
