Netflix and YRF Entertainment's series 'The Railway Men' is going to be released shortly from now. One night in December 1984, when the leaking gas from the Union Carbide Factory turned a large area of Bhopal into a graveyard, the bravery, hope, and humanity displayed by a few railway workers posted at Bhopal Railway Station saved the lives of hundreds of railway passengers. , this is his story. Series director Shiv Rawail has revealed how creator Aditya Chopra took two years to hone and refine the script, focusing on presenting a scale that was never achieved digitally.

Shiv says, 'One thing I know about my mentor, Aditya Chopra, is that he will never make anything that is not engaging enough for the audience to watch. He will never make anything light. I think this is why YRF has been able to influence pop culture and shape people's content choices across generations.

Talking about 'The Railway Men', Shiv says, Aditya Chopra chose 'The Railway Men' for the first series made by YRF for streaming. We worked on the script and the preproduction process for over two years before Adi decided to greenlight the series. Adi wanted the same values of YRF to be reflected in the ethos of YRF Entertainment and the projects it produces.'

Before directing the series 'The Railway Men' featuring strong actors like R Madhavan, KK Menon, Divyendu and Babil Khan, Shiv Rawail worked as an assistant at Yash Raj Films for 10 years. Shiv says, 'One thing I like about YRF is that there are no half-measures here. I had complete freedom in presenting my vision for ‘The Railway Men’ and I am proud that Adi helped me further my passion.”

He further says, 'This series is an attempt to revive one of the most important and relevant subjects. This is an incident about which every Indian knows. So, we had to be sensitive, our show had to show how humanity exists within us even when we are personally at risk. We are thrilled that we have a show that the company and Adi are extremely proud of.
