People's Institute for Animals had filed a case against six people including Elvish Yadav in Kotwali Sector-49 for supplying snake venom. After this, the police arrested four snake charmers and one other in this case. Now the police have arrested Elvish Yadav in this case. Now Kotwali Sector-20 police are investigating this matter. ADCP of Noida Zone Manish Kumar Mishra said that the police had arrested Elvish Yadav and he was produced in the District and Sessions Court Surajpur, Greater Noida. After the hearing, the court sent Elvish Yadav to judicial custody for 14 days.
NDPS sections increased, provision of punishment up to 20 years
Kotwali Sector-20 police have increased several sections under the NDPS Act against Elvish on charges of supplying snake venom and doing poison business. These include NDPS sections 8, 20, 27, 27A, 29, 30, 32. Under these, if Elvish is found guilty, he can face a punishment of up to 20 years. A fine can also be imposed on him. The NDPS clauses may trouble Elvish the most. In the case of Sushant Singh Rajput also, the same section was imposed on the accused.
Elvish had given an open challenge to the police on social media
Elvish Yadav, accused in the case of supplying snake venom at a rave party, had openly challenged the police after the forensic report came positive. While releasing the video he had said to prove that I was in the rave party. After this, the police investigation gained momentum. According to police, Elvish had released a 13-minute 34-second video on YouTube in February. In this, eight to ten people were sitting together in the room. Elvish was speaking about supplying snake poison at the rave party.
