This has been revealed from the latest data released by the National Crime Records Bureau.
According to the report of the bureau, not only did the suicide rate increase, but the number of suicides also increased by about 7.2 percent, which is worrying.

Statistics show that low-income people are more likely to commit suicide. Two-thirds of the total suicide cases belonged to the class earning less than Rs 1 lakh per annum.
