The death toll in the train accident in Vijayanagaram, Andhra Pradesh has reached 13 so far. East Coast Railway CPRO Biswajit Sahu said that relief and rescue operations have been completed. Divisional Railway Manager of Waltair Division, Saurabh Prasad said that heavy machines and cranes have been called. The work is being done in coordination with the state government and fire department. The Railway Minister has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the families of those killed in the accident, Rs 2.5 lakh for the seriously injured, and Rs 50 thousand for the moderately injured.
