The Delhi High Court has banned the release of the film 'Udaipur Files' based on the Udaipur murder. After this decision of the court, a statement from filmmaker Amit Jani has come. He has said that he will go to the Supreme Court to challenge this decision.
Filmmaker Amit Jani will go to the Supreme Court.
Amit Jani told ANI, "We showed this film to his lawyer, Kapil Sibal. Even after watching the film, he is opposing it because he has taken fees from him. Today, the court said that this film is banned. We are going to the Supreme Court to challenge this decision. He has been told to go to the central government, and the government will give its decision in seven days on whether this film is right or wrong."
The film was banned for three days.
He further said, "Kanhaiya Lal was murdered in front of the camera three years ago. Till now, no decision has been made on this matter. However, the film, which shows his pain, has been banned within three days."
The film will remain banned till the next decision
The film 'Udaipur Files' will remain banned till the Central Government and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) decide on this matter. An amendment application has been issued by Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind against the film.
The court decided to ban the film after hearing the petition filed by Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind and Prashant Tandon, in which they challenged the decision of the CBFC to give certificate to the film.
The petitioners argued in their petition that the release of the film would affect brotherhood and pose a threat to the public.
What is the whole matter?
Let us tell you that the film 'Udaipur Files' is based on the murder of Kanhaiya Lal in the year 2022. Kanhaiya Lal was a tailor in Udaipur, Rajasthan. He was accused of posting a post on social media in support of BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma. After this, he was allegedly murdered. The film was scheduled to release on July 11.
