UP Board exams begin: Candidates welcomed at exam centres with flower showers and tilak (vermilion mark).

The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education's 10th and 12th board exams begin today. Students began arriving at the examination centers as early as 7:15 am. The first shift, the high school exam, began at 8:30 am. The first question paper is in Hindi.

 

 

Prior to this, candidates were greeted with a shower of flowers upon arriving at the examination center at Kali Charan Inter College in Lucknow. After checking, they were granted entry. Candidates must carry their Aadhaar card along with their admit card. Any electronic gadgets or smartwatches are prohibited.

On this occasion, Minister of State for Secondary Education Gulab Devi extended her best wishes to the candidates. She met the candidates at the Government Girls Inter College Jiyamau examination center and, while welcoming them, urged them to take the exam without stress.

This year, a total of 5,337,778 candidates are registered, including 2,761,696 high school students and 2,576,082 intermediate students. To ensure a completely fair, transparent, and systematic examination, a total of 8,033 examination centers have been set up in the state, including 596 government schools, 3,453 aided-government schools, and 3,984 self-financed schools.

 

 

18 districts are sensitive, and monitoring is being done from a state-level control room. Minister of State for Secondary Education (Independent Charge) Gulab Devi inaugurated the state-level control room set up at the Director of Education (Secondary), Lucknow camp office on Tuesday, ahead of the examination. She stated that in accordance with the Chief Minister's wishes, this year's examination system has been made completely technology-based and transparent. Eighteen districts have been declared sensitive, while 222 examination centers have been categorized as highly sensitive and 683 as sensitive. The Special Task Force (STF) and local intelligence units will be active at these centers throughout the examination period, and twice-daily inspections of highly sensitive centers have been ensured.
