The then Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was defeated in the test of the majority. The new government was formed after Uddhav Thackeray resigned from the post of Chief Minister. Jethmalani said if the chief minister refuses to face the test of the majority, it is assumed that he does not have a majority.
