After overcoming the second wave of Corona in India, the Central and State Governments have now decided to move towards unlocking. The second wave of Corona has proved extremely fatal. To prevent this, it was decided to impose a lockdown at the state level. But now that the effect of the continuous decline in the cases of corona infection is being seen that other experts have also said that the second wave has reached its peak, now the government's attention is towards the unlock process.
During this lockdown, small traders have suffered a lot due to the closure of various economic activities. It is to be noted that in many states of the country, the lockdown is going on till the end of this month.
The maximum number of cases were reported from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, and Uttar Pradesh during the second wave of Corona. These were about 36 percent as compared to cases coming from all over India. Now a rapid decline is being recorded in them. However, now Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Odisha, West Bengal, and Andhra Pradesh have the highest number of cases. These states contribute about 25 percent of the country's GDP.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced that the unlocking process will start from May 31. But this will only happen when the declining trend will continue in new cases coming from Corona. The decision has been taken after the meeting of the Deputy Governor of Delhi, the Chief Minister, and the Delhi Disaster Management Authority. However, no disclosure has been made as to what the unlocking process will be. It is believed that unlock will be done in a phased manner as before. Initially, the constructions and factories will be opened. Initially, according to the Chief Minister of Delhi, he has also advised it during the meeting.
Here the government can allow Delhi Metro to start with the Covid protocol. Also, some markets can be opened with precaution. Wedding ceremonies may also be exempted under limited numbers. But in all these places, all the protocols made for Covid-19 will have to be strictly followed. Government offices can also be opened under the rules. It is also possible that initially the limited number of personnel coming into the office and then gradually increasing it.
Madhya Pradesh has also announced the commencement of the unlock process. Restrictions will be lifted in a phased manner from June 1 as part of this process. Because of the decline in new cases of corona in five districts of the state, some relaxation has already been given. Government offices can be opened here from June 1 with limited staff. However, theaters, malls, coaching institutes will be opened later.
The unlocking process can begin in Maharashtra from 1 June. Under this, shops, shopping malls, offices, and other items can be opened in different stages. It is also believed that hotels, restaurants, bars, liquor shops, and religious places may be allowed to open in the last phase. Let us tell you that during the first and second waves of Corona, Maharashtra was one of the most affected states of the country.
There have been fewer cases of Covid in the Uttar Pradesh government, but the black fungus continues to spread its footing. Despite this, however, there seems little hope of increasing the lockdown here. It is believed that the government can remove the restrictions on the market from June 1 and also open offices with limited numbers.
In Bihar, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, the lockdown has been implemented till June 1, but there seems little hope of unlocking here. Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij has also indicated this. In Karnataka, a lockdown has been imposed till 6 am on June 7. In Rajasthan, the lockdown deadline has been kept till 8 June. The lockdown in Kerala is only till May 30 but the chances of its opening from June 1 are quite rare. Similarly, the beginning of unlocking is hardly visible in Tamil Nadu as well.
