Lucknow, Feb 11 (IANS) The Uttar Pradesh government Wednesday unveiled the 'development agenda' a document which guides the policies, priority areas and welfare schemes of the state government.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said the development agenda, like the previous years, would focus on key areas for comprehensive development of the state with added attention on prompt, inclusive and transparent governance.
He also informed that this was the first time that suggestions of the common people have been assimilated in the development agenda of the state.
Yadav also pointed out that the welfare schemes of the Samajwadi Party (SP) government were aimed at all round development for all sections of the society.
Among the key areas identified by the state government are public works department, industry, infrastructure, power, human resource development, healthcare, social security and labour, agriculture, rural and urban development, effective and transparent administration and urban poverty eradication.
The development agenda, the chief minister said would also pay special attention to weaker sections of society, minorities, women, children, youth and farmers.
