The BJP is very conscious about the formation of the cabinet after the victory in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. The special points of the ongoing review at the state level are where and for what reasons the BJP got a unilateral victory, then what should be attributed to the weak performing seats or areas.
All this exercise is being done because of the Lok Sabha elections going to be held in 2024. It has already come to the fore in the results that despite all the efforts made by the farmers' movement against all three agricultural laws to have an impact in the UP elections, the BJP's performance in western UP was better than expected. The saffron camp was again strong in Bundelkhand and Awadh, while in the rest of eastern Uttar Pradesh, the SP appeared strong, despite winning all the seats in Kashi and Gorakhpur.
In such a situation, the BJP is trying to cultivate caste and regional equations in such a way that where the people have given full support, the MLAs should be given priority in the cabinet and saved for the Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, where the party has to struggle more, to improve the situation, a positive message should be given to the MLAs by making them ministers. Along with the region, the same approach is also on the equation of castes.
In such a situation, ignoring all the apprehensions and opposing efforts, BJP would like to please the Jat community who came with the BJP. The Gujjars of West UP, who have won big, are insight. Other Backward Classes are the biggest force in the state, so this time Dalits have also increased the strength of the BJP. The results rejected the talk of BJP's displeasure with the party.
In such a situation, giving the message of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas' with the formation of the cabinet is considered very important from the point of view of Lok Sabha elections. Homework was also done on this in the meeting of State in-charge Radha Mohan Singh, State President Swatantradev Singh, and State General Secretary Organization Sunil Bansal with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath last day.
