Section-144 implemented in Gurugram

Given the communal tension in Nuh, District Magistrate and DC Nishant Kumar Yadav of Gurugram have imposed Section-144 to enforce the law and maintain peace in the district. Instructions were issued in this regard by the District Magistrate on Monday evening.

Nuh remained calm for three decades, riots happened 31 years ago

There was communal violence in Nuh in 1991 during the Ayodhya Ram Mandir movement. After that, there was complete peace in Nuh for three decades. Last year some organizations had damaged a religious place during the procession but at that time no untoward incident took place and peace prevailed on the appeal of the Aman Committee. The damaged construction was repaired. The uproar on Monday has sabotaged three decades of peace.
