You can now update your Aadhaar card from the comfort of your home. From your mobile number to your address, everything can be easily updated from home. The government has launched a new Aadhaar app. This app includes 50 new features. Through these new features, you can change important details on your Aadhaar card.
This is a significant step towards strengthening India's digital public infrastructure. The aim of this app is to make identity services more accessible, secure, and user-friendly for citizens.
New Aadhaar App with 50 New Features
The new Aadhaar app from UIDAI (New Aadhaar App) has more than 50 features, including secure offline verification, selective data sharing, and mobile number updates. Its purpose is to make managing your digital identity from your smartphone easier, safer, and more convenient.
This new Aadhaar app allows users to securely share contact details without revealing their complete identity information when needed.
With the New Aadhaar App, you can manage the Aadhaar details of children or dependents for your family from a single device.
Objective: To Reduce the Risk of Misuse
The new Aadhaar app is designed to make managing Aadhaar easier, safer, and more practical for everyday use. UIDAI has stated that despite repeated advisories, people across India still share photocopies of their Aadhaar for hotel check-ins, SIM card activation, office verification, and other purposes, increasing the risk of data misuse.
What are the features of the new Aadhaar app?
Through the new Aadhaar app, UIDAI aims to solve this problem by enabling offline Aadhaar verification, where identity can be confirmed without sharing the Aadhaar number or biometric data, making everyday authentication more secure and controlled. Additionally, this app allows users to update essential details such as mobile number and address, and share selective Aadhaar information without providing physical copies.

Aadhaar app users can update their mobile number and address directly through the app. We have provided a step-by-step process below. Open the Aadhaar app and log in using Aadhaar-based authentication.
