US Law: Student visa may be canceled if you leave your studies midway; Embassy warns international students

The US Embassy in India on Tuesday warned international students studying in the US that their student visas may be revoked if they quit their studies, do not attend classes, or leave their study program midway without informing their institution.

In a post released on social media by the embassy, ​​foreign students have been advised to follow the visa conditions and retain their student status to avoid any problems. The post said, if you quit your studies, do not attend classes or leave your study program without informing your school, your student visa may be revoked, and you may lose eligibility for a US visa in the future.

 

Student visa over 1.40 years two years ago

 

It is worth noting that a large number of Indian students enroll in American universities. The US Consulate team in India issued more than 1,40,000 student visas in 2023. This was more than any other country and marked the third consecutive year in which a record was set. That same year, the US Mission in India issued a record 14 LA visas.
