The US Embassy in India on Tuesday warned international students studying in the US that their student visas may be revoked if they quit their studies, do not attend classes, or leave their study program midway without informing their institution.

In a post released on social media by the embassy, foreign students have been advised to follow the visa conditions and retain their student status to avoid any problems. The post said, if you quit your studies, do not attend classes or leave your study program without informing your school, your student visa may be revoked, and you may lose eligibility for a US visa in the future.
