The US intelligence organization told lawmakers on Wednesday that it feared that tensions between India and Pakistan and India and China could increase and there is a possibility of conflict between them.
It has also been said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is more likely than ever to respond to Pakistani provocations with military force.
The report said that while India and China are engaged in bilateral border talks and settling border points, relations will remain strained in 2020 in the wake of the countries' deadly conflict, the most serious in decades. The assessment is part of the US Intelligence Community's annual threat assessment, which was presented to the US Congress by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence during a congressional hearing.
Relations between the two countries will remain tense
It has been said in this report that bilateral border talks were held between India and China and tensions were resolved at several border points. But due to the violent clash in 2020, the relationship between the two countries will remain tense. The deployment of troops by both countries at the disputed site increases the armed risk between the two nuclear powers over the border dispute. Past standoffs show that frequent small skirmishes along the LAC have the potential to escalate rapidly.
Growing tension between India and Pakistan is a matter of concern
In this report of the American Intelligence Organization, it has been said that the increasing tension between the two nuclear-rich countries India and Pakistan is a matter of concern. Ceasefire was announced on the border in 2021 by India and Pakistan. That is, both countries are keen to strengthen the existing peace in their relations.
