US sanctions Chinese network helping Iranian company

The US on Thursday banned a network based in China. He is alleged to have sent aerospace parts to an Iranian company involved in the production of drones. It is alleged that Tehran had exported the drones to Russia as well as used them to attack oil tankers. The US Treasury Department said in a statement that it has banned the network of five companies based in China.

Also, one person has been accused of supporting Iran's unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) procurement efforts. This network is responsible for the sale and shipment of thousands of aerospace components to the Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company. Which can be used for UAVs. The company has been involved in the production of the Shaheed-136 UAV model. It was used by Iran to attack oil tankers.

 

Accused of providing parts to an Iranian company involved in the production of drones

The US will continue to target the network that supplied Russia with deadly UAVs for use in the war in Ukraine, a Treasury Department official said. White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said in January that Iran was assisting in a war crime by helping Russia with drones. Iran has admitted that it has sent drones to Russia, but it was delivered before Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022. At the same time, Moscow denied the use of any Iranian drone in the Ukraine war.
