Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has given a strong reaction to this matter. He called this move of America unfair and a double standard. He also said that America itself is ordering many things from Russia, but is targeting India.

The Congress MP said that America has given a 90-day exemption to China, while it buys much more Russian oil than we do. He said that this is not a sign of friendship. We did not expect this from America. Tharoor called this decision unfair, unjust, and unnecessary. He also said that America is adopting a double standard with India.

He said that if our competitor countries like Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Bangladesh, and Pakistan have lower taxes, then American people will buy cheaper goods from there. Tharoor's suggestion - Emphasis on finding new markets
Along with this, in response to Trump's tariff, Tharoor suggested that India should now turn its trade relations towards other countries. He said that we have signed a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the UK. Talks are going on with the European Union (EU). We should look for new markets.
