There will be no need to stand in long lines on the highway. Nor do you have to worry that you will have to pay the full toll for a 5 km journey. Now the highways coming out of Rajasthan are going to be hi-tech soon. ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Reader) system is going to be implemented on these soon.

The Union Road Transport Ministry is coming up with a new concept. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is building a green field expressway in Rajasthan where there will be no toll booth.

The biggest advantage of this will be that the owner of the vehicle will have to pay the same amount as he has driven on the highway. It will start from the Green Field Expressway passing through Rajasthan.

The largest dedicated expressway will be in Rajasthan

Starting from Amritsar in Punjab to Jamnagar in Gujarat, this Green Field Expressway will also connect with Rajasthan. It will also have connectivity to the ports of Punjab, Haryana, and the Arabian Sea.

This green field expressway is being built under Bharat Mala Project

The total length in Rajasthan is 637 km, while the total length of this entire project in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Gujarat is 1224 km.

After the completion of this project, it will become the largest dedicated expressway in Rajasthan. The special thing is that the curves and turns are very less on this expressway.

At present 64% (407KM) of the 6 laning project in Rajasthan has been completed. The entire project is estimated to cost around Rs 14,707 crore and the target is to complete the project by September 2023.
